How to Get an Apostille for Your ACRO Certificate
Ready to legalise your document? Here’s your simple step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Go to the Ace Apostille Online Order Page
- Start your order here: Apostille Order Online – UK
Step 2: Select “ACRO Police Certificate” as Document Type
- Choose “ACRO Police Certificate” from the drop-down list.
Step 3: Embassy or Consulate Legalisation?
- Most countries only require an Apostille if they are part of the Hague Convention. If so, select NO.
- If the country is not in the Hague Apostille Convention, you may need extra legalisation. Check which countries are part of the Hague Convention.
- Top 6 countries that require Consular Legalisation: Kuwait, Taiwan, UAE, Qatar, Thailand, Vietnam.
Step 4: Do You Need a Certified Translation?
- If your document needs to be used in a non-English-speaking country, add a certified translation. Common languages:

- Portuguese (Portugal, Brazil)
- Italian (Italy)
- Bulgarian (Bulgaria)
- If English is accepted, you can skip this step.
Step 5: Additional Certifications
- Good news! For ACRO Certificates, you do not need a Notary Public or Solicitor certification. An Apostille alone is usually sufficient.
Step 6: Place your order
- Complete your order: Fill in your return address details and pay online.
- We’ll process your ACRO certificate and send it back to you – fully legalised and ready to use abroad!
